DT Ricky Barber and WR River Cracraft were elevated for the second week in a row. Barber made a big impression last week, and gets another chance to earn a spot on next season’s roster. Cracraft only played one snap one special teams, a punt return for 0 yards.
The Commanders injury woes didn’t end in Week 18. Center Tyler Biadasz was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week. He suffered ankle and knee injuries during te Christmas day game against the Cowboys, but won’t require surgery. Julian Good-Jones was signed from the practice squad for depth. Chris Paul was added to the injury report this morning with an illness and was listed as questionable. He’s active today added should start.
The Commanders ruled out three players yesterday. LT Laremy Tunsil is missing his third straight game due to an oblique injury, and Brandon Coleman will get another start. Jayden Daniels was already shut down for the season, and Marcus Mariota is missing his second game due to hand and quad injuries. Josh Johnson gets his second start of the season, with Jeff Driskel backing him up and Sam Hartman as the emergency 3rd QB who is inactive.
RB Chase Edmonds and DE Jalyn Holmes are the last two inactives for the season finale. Washington will have three RBs active(Bill Croskey-Merritt, Chris Rodriguez Jr., Jeremy McNichols). DE Drake Jackson made his season debut two weeks ago, and he’s now active instead of Holmes.
