Michael Wilson grabbed a pass thrown by Jacoby Briseet, but so did Ahkello Witherspoon.
The Rams’ corner wrestling the ball from the hands of Wilson for an interception. It appeared the call could have gone either way, but the call on the field was an interception. Had the ball not been underthrown, it could have been a Cardinals TD.
L.A. quickly turned the interception into a field goal as the clock ran out for the first half.
Score: Rams 16, Cardinals 6 (Half)
The Cardinals kept the Rams out of the end zone on third-and-goal from the 1. But on fourth-and-goal, Matthew Stafford completed a pass to Puka Nacua, who hauled it in with one hand for the touchdown.
The touchdown broke a streak of six field goals the teams had combined for in the first half.
The touchdown came with 1:22 left in the second quarter.
Stafford is 12-for-18 passing for 88 yards and a touchdown. Puka has six catches for 38 yards.

Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon enters his team’s final game of a lost season Sunday, Jan. 4, with his job status uncertain.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter, however, shone a ray of hope on Gannon’s future during the network’s NFL pregame show.Â
Schefter offered his opinion on the NFL coaching hot seat, saying two coaches are out. Las Vegas Raiders first-year coach Pete Carroll and Cleveland Browns’ Kevin Stefanski.
Among Schefter’s “leans” one way or the other — with the obvious caveat that not all the conversations have been conducted — was that Gannon’s status was “leaning safe.”
