The Kansas City Chiefs finished their 2025 regular-season campaign with a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 18.

The matchup’s final score was 14-12 in Las Vegas’ favor. The Chiefs saw their record fall to 6-11.

Veteran quarterbacks Chris Oladokun and Shane Buechele saw playing time for Kansas City under center. Oladokun was the Chiefs’ starter for the rivalry contest, but was benched in favor of Buechele the second half after completing 11 of his 17 pass attempts for 58 yards.

For his part, Buechele completed seven of 14 attempts for 88 yards, including a 51-yard bomb to speedy wide receiver Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown, who was Kansas City’s leading receiver.

Rookie running back Brashard Smith led the Chiefs’ ground game with 56 yards on 12 attempts.

Defensively, Kansas City saw star pass-rusher Chris Jones turn in a remarkable two-sack performance that helped the Chiefs keep the game close. Fan-favorite linebacker Nick Bolton tallied nine combined tackles, which led all of Kansas City’s defenders.

Rookie defensive back Nohl Williams recorded six combined tackles and one sack in the losing effort. Chamarri Conner was credited with four combined tackles and an interception.

With their Week 18 matchup against the Raiders in the books, the Chiefs will look ahead to the 2026 offseason.
