The New England Patriots defeated the Miami Dolphins 38-10 at Gillette Stadium Sunday, finishing the regular season 14-3.

The Patriots secured the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs after the Denver Broncos beat the Los Angeles Chargers 19-3 in Week 18.

New England ran for four touchdowns, tying a franchise record for rushing touchdowns in a game. Running back Rhamondre Stevenson ran for 131 yards and two scores.

A Chargers win would have given New England the No. 1 seed, a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the postseason.

The Patriots will face the Los Angeles Chargers in the first round of the AFC Playoffs in Foxborough on Sunday, January 11 at 8 p.m.
