During a chaotic NFL regular season that saw five unique Super Bowl favorites, the Seattle Seahawks are the newest team atop BetMGM’s Super Bowl odds on the eve of the 2026 NFL Playoffs. They are the current favorites at BetMGM, at +400 to win it all.

Finally overtaking the NFC West rival Los Angeles Rams, the Seahawks stayed close with the Rams the last two months of the season. A convincing Week 18 road win in San Francisco pushed Seattle to the top seed in the NFC while maintaining home-field advantage until the Super Bowl.

But, beware, Seahawks fans: being the Super Bowl favorite hasn’t been very fun this season. The Buffalo Bills lasted seven weeks in the pole position before relinquishing the title to the Kansas City Chiefs. Failing to even make the playoffs, the Chiefs ceded the favorite spot to the Philadelphia Eagles after Week 11. Philadelphia held the crown for only a week before giving it up to the Rams.

Speaking of Los Angeles, they remain firmly in the mix with Seattle at the top of the odds. The AFC top seed Denver Broncos, the defending champion Eagles, the New England Patriots and Buffalo also possess odds of 10/1 or better to win the Super Bowl.

If the playoffs are anything like the last four months, then expect plenty of chaos leading up to Super Bowl LX. Three of six wild-card weekend matchups feature a road team favored over the stronger seed.

Live Super Bowl oddsSeattle (finally) takes over the top spot

Not many predicted the Seahawks as Super Bowl favorites before the playoffs. Week 18’s victory with the NFC’s No. 1 seed at stake was the seventh straight win for the Seahawks, with the last three coming against NFC playoff teams.

Seattle defied expectations all season to reach this point. BetMGM set Seattle’s win total at over/under 7.5 during the preseason — the lowest of any NFC West team. Dropping as low as +8000 (80/1) in preseason Super Bowl odds after opening at +6000, Seattle’s slow rise up the board didn’t start until their Week 6 road win in Jacksonville elevated them to +3500. Their lowest odds implied a less than 1.5 percent chance of winning the big game, while their current odds imply a 20 percent likelihood.

Reaching the Super Bowl the last three times they were the No. 1 seed, Seattle has won 10 of its last 11 home playoff games — only losing the fan-restricted COVID-19 home playoff game during the 2020 season. Dominant defense, recently dubbed the “Dark Side,” and a strong home-field advantage could be enough to get Seattle to the Super Bowl.

The Rams (+425) remain in second in Super Bowl odds despite earning the NFC’s No. 5 seed. Los Angeles travels to the No. 4 seed Carolina Panthers (+15000) in the first round, where the Rams are favored by more than a touchdown over the inexperienced NFC South champions. Should Los Angeles win in the wild-card round, they would face Seattle if the higher-seeded Chicago Bears and Eagles both advanced — setting up a potential matchup between Super Bowl favorites in the divisional round of the NFC Playoffs.

Seattle is guaranteed the lowest-seeded remaining NFC playoff team for its first playoff game. With the No. 7 seed Green Bay Packers in a pick’em on the road against Chicago, it’s conceivable the Seahawks host the Packers in the divisional round while potentially avoiding Philadelphia (+900), Los Angeles or the San Francisco 49ers (+2500) until the conference championship.

It’s worth mentioning Seattle’s home loss to the 49ers during Week 1. Narratives shifted after Week 18’s result, as No. 6 seed San Francisco faces an uphill battle. A first-round matchup at No. 3 seed Philadelphia and a guaranteed second-round road game is a huge drop from San Francisco just missing the No. 1 seed.

The 49ers dropped from +850 to +2500 following their underwhelming Week 18 performance.

Both the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers sit at identical +2200 odds ahead of the NFC North rivals’ battle in wild-card weekend. The odds for that game are about as close as they can get.

Denver holds AFC’s top spot

The AFC didn’t see significant movement following Week 18. By officially earning the No. 1 seed, the Broncos (+650) received a small boost from +800 odds.

Similar to Seattle, the Broncos have used a dominant defense, solid home-field advantage and steady quarterback play during a season without a traditional superpower. Earning its first top seed since 2015, Denver is hoping for a similar trip to the Super Bowl that goes through the Mile High City.

Sticking close to Denver, the Patriots and Bills (both +1000) are firmly in the Super Bowl odds mix. Securing the AFC’s No. 2 seed behind MVP contender Drake Maye, New England hosts a playoff opener against the Los Angeles Chargers (+3000).

Despite the franchise losing eight straight road playoff games, Buffalo is still favored as the traveling No. 6 seed against the No. 3 seed Jacksonville Jaguars (+1500). Buffalo still earns the benefit of the doubt despite four of those losses coming with Josh Allen at the helm. Should Buffalo beat Jacksonville in the wild card, there’s a possibility the Bills end up in Denver during the divisional round thanks to reshuffling playoff seeding.

Monday night’s final playoff battle sees the AFC North champion Pittsburgh Steelers (+5000) hosting the Houston Texans (+1300). Falling short of the AFC South, Houston is still favored by a little more than a field goal to win on the road. Pittsburgh’s title odds were cut in half from +10000 odds after the Week 18 win over Baltimore.
