The New York Jets finished off an abysmal season on Sunday, falling 35-8 to the Buffalo Bills. The Jets ended the year with a 3-14 record in head coach Aaron Glenn’s first season.

New York’s defense was far from special, but the offense in particular really struggled.

The Jets ranked last in the NFL in passing yards, throwing for just 140.3 yards per game.

Just how bad was New York’s passing attack? The team’s leading receiver — Garrett Wilson — last caught a pass on Oct. 12 in a 13-11 loss to the Broncos.

Wilson finished the year with 36 receptions for 395 yards and 4 touchdowns. He led New York in both receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, despite his last catch coming nearly three months ago.

The Jets started three different quarterbacks in 2025 in Justin Fields, Tyrod Taylor and Brady Cook, but the offense struggled no matter who was at the helm.

Behind Garrett Wilson in receiving yards was tight end Mason Taylor, who finished with 369. Running back Breece Hall had the third-most receiving yards with 350.

The second-leading receiver among actual receivers was Adonai Mitchell, who finished with 301 receiving yards in eight games.

New York has a long ways to go to be a playoff contender in 2026. The Jets need more consistent quarterback play and more weapons around whoever is the signal caller.

The fact that Garrett Wilson finished as the team’s leading receiver, despite not catching a pass over the final 11 games, shows just how bad the offense was this year.
