The Denver Broncos made three roster moves following their regular season finale.
First, the Broncos waived offensive tackle Geron Christian and tight end Marcedes Lewis, the team announced. Christian and Lewis will likely be candidates to re-sign with the practice squad if they clear waivers.
Second, Denver promoted quarterback Sam Ehlinger from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Ehlinger will now be eligible for game-day roster pay (a reward for his loyalty to the team), and by finishing the season on the active roster, he will be eligible for free agency this spring, allowing him to seek a higher salary in 2026.
Following those three moves, the Broncos currently have one open spot on the 53-man roster and one open spot on the practice squad. If Denver fills the active roster spot by promoting another player from the practice squad, the team will have room for both Christian and Lewis on the practice squad entering the NFL playoffs.

After securing the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs, Denver has a bye this week. Broncos players will return to practice on Friday and Saturday ahead of a divisional round playoff game at Empower Field at Mile High on Jan. 17 or Jan. 18.
