INDIANAPOLIS (WNDU) – Will the Chicago Bears move to northwest Indiana? Gov. Mike Braun wants it to happen.
The Bears expanded their search for a new stadium site to include northwest Indiana in December, and Braun said he is ready to work with the team on a potential move.
The Chicago Bears recognize Indiana’s pro-business climate, and I am ready to work with them to build a new stadium in Northwest Indiana.
This move would deliver a major economic boost, create jobs, and bring another premier NFL franchise to the Hoosier State. Let’s get it… https://t.co/bW72dSxS3p

Braun said the Bears’ relocation would create an economic boost in Indiana. He spoke about the possibility with our sister station WTHR.
“They’re seriously looking at other options. So, if everything keeps progressing at the speed at which it has over the last week or so, we’ll see,” Braun said. “So, we’re going to do everything to make it happen. There are a lot of things that could come into play between consummating it and so forth, but now they are seriously looking at other options. So, we’ll see what happens.”
The Bears have been looking to move out of their current home at Soldier Field since 2021.
