The Cleveland Browns are where they’ve been for most of their existence: directionless.

As harsh as it sounds, the Browns are once again in reset mode after firing head coach Kevin Stefanski following six years in Cleveland.

The franchise selected two quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft, and they’re entering the offseason not fully committed to either and might use more draft capital in 2026 to draft even more signal callers.

Aside from superhuman Myles Garrett, who broke the single-season NFL sacks record in Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals and some other nice pieces on the defense, Cleveland is in a position where it needs massive help if they want to compete in the coming years.

One team that has rebuilt on the fly and gone from possibly needing a full rebuild to now atop the NFC are the Seattle Seahawks.

The Browns are wasting time to begin their search for the person they hope can change fortunes in Cleveland, as they’ve officially requested to interview Seahawks defensive coordinator Aden Durde.

Durde, born in England, has risen up the ranks and helped the Seahawks turn their defense into one of the best in football over the past two years.

If he were hired, he would become the first European-born head coach in the history of the NFL.

Durde is a true European-to-NFL success story, as he played in NFL Europe for years before getting a chance to play with the Carolina Panthers as part of the NFL International Development Practice Squad initiative. A few years later, he would also play on the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad.

The Seattle Seahawks will watch as the first round of the playoffs kick off this weekend, awaiting the highest-seed remaining in the divisional round at home in two weeks.
