Packers coach Matt LaFleur said team’s health is good ahead of playoffs
Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur expects a lot of the key players, including Jordan Love, to be ready to face the Bears in the playoffs.
Micah Parsons isn’t wasting time in attacking his rehab. And he’s approaching it just like he would attack through an offensive line.
With a heavy dose of determination.
Eight days after having surgery to repair his torn ACL, the Green Bay Packers‘ star edge rusher posted on his Instagram account a video that shows he’s already on the road to recovery.
And in the caption he included his mindset: “One week out! Let’s make the crazy look normal.”
Parsons, with a big bandage over his left knee, added in the comments of the video that the NFL reposted on its X account that he’s getting “stronger!”
Indeed.
In the video, Parsons was going through a full rotation on a bike.
It’s the latest update from Parsons since he suffered a torn ACL in the Packers’ Week 15 loss to the Denver Broncos on Dec. 14. He sustained the noncontact injury while trying to chase down quarterback Bo Nix in the third quarter of the game.
Parsons had surgery 15 days later.
Before the injury, Parsons, acquired by the Packers in a blockbuster trade with the Dallas Cowboys in late August, was on his way to another All-Pro season.
During the season, Parsons became the first player in NFL history to have at least 12 sacks in the first five seasons of a career. He finished with 12.5 sacks and was the team’s lone Pro Bowl representative.
As Parsons begins the early stages of his rehab, the Packers are beginning their playoff journey with a matchup against the Chicago Bears on Saturday, Jan. 10.
