LAWRENCE — The Division I transfer portal window for college football is open from Jan. 2 through Jan. 16, and that means Wednesday is another opportunity for Kansas football to shape its future roster.
On Tuesday, the Jayhawks added a pair of commitments. One was Tre’Von McAlpine, a defensive lineman from Tulane. The other was David Santiago, an edge from Michigan State.

They also saw a pair of players from Kansas‘ roster this past season announced their next college destinations as they leave the program. Redshirt freshman cornerback Aundre Gibson picked Northern Arizona. Sophomore offensive lineman Tyler Mercer picked Oklahoma State.
