The New York Giants head into the offseason this week after a sorry 4-13 finish to the 2025 season. General manager Joe Schoen will be casting a “wide net” over the NFL coaching community to find the team’s next head coach.

Schoen will also be making decisions on player personnel and will begin by determining which of the Giants’ own impending free agents he wants to retain.

Here are eight of those players we believe the Giants should bring back in 2026.

CB Art Green

Green would be easy to retain as he is an exclusive rights free agent (ERFA) and they have first dibs on his services. They can offer him a one-year tender or a deal even longer if they wish. The Giants need useful players, and Green is an above-average special teams player who can add depth to their wafer-thin cornerback room.

RT Jermaine Eluemunor

A new head coach could mean a new offensive line coach with a different philosophy. That will play into whether the Giants want to spend up on the 31-year-old who started 31 of 34 games for the Giants since arriving as a free agent last season. Eluemunor had an above-average season in 2025, one in which many felt he deserved Pro Bowl consideration. He can play both tackle and guard and loves being a New York Giant. Make it happen.

WR Wan’Dale Robinson

Robinson is an outlier at wide receiver. He can line up anywhere and make plays all over the field. He became a top 10 receiver in several categories this year and will draw heavy interest in the free agent market. The Giants want him back, and he wants to stay. The price point might be an issue, however. They should prioritize bringing Robinson back, as he has been improving every year.

S Dane Belton

The game is football, and Belton is good at it. He isn’t the greatest safety, especially in space, but he has a nose for the football and is an excellent special teams player. If there’s room, bringing him back and strategically deploying him would be a positive move for the Giants.

LS Casey Kreiter

This might not even be an issue. Kreiter, unless another team blows him away with an offer, is almost certain to be back. The Giants will be focusing on special teams this offseason, and experienced long snappers are in short supply.

CB Cor’Dale Flott

Flott was ranked 41st overall among 114 cornerbacks rated by Pro Football Focus this season. That’s above average, and he deserves at least a look since the Giants will be seeking corner help this offseason. The knock on Flott is his availability. He has yet to play more than 14 games in a season. If the price is right, I can see him returning.

TE Daniel Bellinger

Bellinger is a solid football player. He does what is asked of him and has few weaknesses. He won’t beat out Theo Johnson for the No. 1 role, but he’s a viable replacement for Johnson, who has had several injury issues.

WR/KR Gunner Olszewski

Bringing Olszewski back isn’t high on the to-do list, but it is on there. The guy is a top returner and plays his heart out. He also serves as a backup receiver on offense. Get it done.
