The initial phase of the Tennessee Titans’ head coaching search is coming into focus, and the schedule of virtual interviews is taking shape.

On Wednesday, general manager Mike Borgonzi will meet with both Vance Joseph and Lou Anarumo, and on Thursday, he will follow that with some of his former colleagues from the Kansas City Chiefs: Matt Nagy and Steve Spagnuolo.

Like Nagy, Borgonzi has a history with Spagnuolo from his time with the Chiefs, and his name was somewhat of a surprise when the list of interview requests was released.

Widely regarded as one of the top defensive coordinators in the league, Spagnuolo, who has coordinated four Super Bowl champions, has not found the same success as a head coach. Named the head coach of the St. Louis Rams in 2009, they struggled to a 10-38 record in his three seasons at the helm.

Spagnuolo and Borgonzi spent six seasons together in Kansas City from 2019 to 2024, where the Chiefs won three Super Bowls in five appearances.
