The Kansas City Chiefs just finished a disappointing NFL campaign, ending the year with a 6-11 record capped off by a loss to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders in Week 18.

Now, Andy Reid and the Chiefs are at risk of losing both their offensive and defensive coordinators to the 2026 head coaching carousel.

Both DC Steve Spagnuolo and OC Matt Nagy will interview for head coaching jobs on Thursday: Spagnuolo with the Tennessee Titans and Nagy with both the Titans and the AFC West-rival Raiders.

Nagy is also set to interview for the Arizona Cardinals’ head coaching vacancy on Friday.

Nagy served as head coach of the Chicago Bears from 2018-21, amassing a 34-31 overall record. Before that, he spent time as the Chiefs’ quarterbacks coach from 2013-15 and offensive coordinator from 2016-17. He returned as the Chiefs’ quarterbacks coach in 2022 before reclaiming his position as OC in 2023.

Nagy has a long-standing working relationship with Reid, joining him as a coaching intern for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2008 before following him to Kansas City.

The Raiders are on the hunt for the organization’s next head coach following the dismissal of Pete Carroll after just one season. Las Vegas finished its 2025 campaign with a 3-14 record, losing 10 consecutive games before ending to the season with a Week 18 win over the Chiefs.

“We’re looking for someone to build this the right way and not think we’ve got to produce 10 wins or whatever next year,” Raiders general manager John Spytek said after Carroll’s firing. “It’d be great to do, when we see teams like the Patriots, [Jaguars] and Bears flip it. I’ve always had a thought that you’re never as good in this league as you think you are, and you’re never as far away as you think you are. And we’re just going to go open-minded.”

In addition to Nagy, the Raiders are also interviewing Broncos quarterbacks coach Davis Webb, Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph and Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
