As the No. 7-seeded Los Angeles Chargers (11-6) opened up its week of practice ahead of its NFL playoffs wild-card matchup against the No. 2-seeded New England Patriots (14-3), the Bolts revealed quite a lengthy Wednesday injury report.

According to the report, the Chargers had eight players who didn’t practice on Wednesday, including running back Omarion Hampton (ankle), outside linebacker Bud Dupree (hamstring), wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith (hamstring), tackle Austin Deculus (oblique), safety Kendall Williamson (ankle), and linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips (hamstring).

Per usual, veterans Khalil Mack and Keenan Allen did not practice, as the two used Wednesday as their typical rest day.

The Chargers had three players who were “limited” on Wednesday, including cornerback Donte Jackson (ankle), left tackle Jamaree Salyer (hamstring), and safety Elijah Molden (hamstring).

Quarterback Justin Herbert (left hand) and tight end Tucker Fisk (ankle) were both full participants, with the Chargers opening Fisk’s 21-day practice window on Wednesday.

While the expansive injury report is nothing unexpected for the first day of practice, it is a bit worrisome if the statuses of many do not see improvements as the week progresses.
