Indianapolis Colts’ WR Alec Pierce was the only wideout in 2025 to accomplish this feat.
The Indianapolis Colts’ Alec Pierce was one of 19 wide receivers to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards this season.
Pierce finished 2025 with 1,003 receiving yards — the first such season of his career.
However, while a good-sized group of wideouts was able to reach this threshold, Pierce was the only one to do so on so few catches.
Averaging 21.3 yards per catch on the season — which led the NFL — Pierce was the only 1,000-yard receiver with fewer than 65 receptions.
So how many catches did Pierce have this year? Only 47.
Along with the big plays, Pierce’s role in the Colts‘ offense has expanded as well this season.
Pierce will be a free agent this upcoming offseason.
“I got great relationships here with this organization, with the people in this building, the city,” Pierce said. “They’ve done so much for me so far, so I definitely would love to continue to be a part of this organization, and we’ll see where things go.”
When asked about free agency, Pierce added, “I don’t know how this will all work out. But we’ll see.”
