Entering the 2026 NFL offseason, how much salary cap space do the Indianapolis Colts have?
According to Over the Cap, the Colts have $45.77 million in available cap space. Compared to the rest of the NFL, this is the ninth-most in football currently.
So the opportunity for the Colts to do some spending this offseason does exist.
Last offseason, we saw GM Chris Ballard take a more aggressive approach in free agency.
During Carlie Irsay-Gordon’s end-of-season press conference, the Colts’ owner mentioned how they saw a lot of progress from Ballard over the last year in his willingness to adjust how he built out this roster. So perhaps we see a similar approach this offseason.

Some notable free agents for the Colts this offseason include Daniel Jones, Alec Pierce, Nick Cross, and others. For the full list of Colts’ free agents, you can find that here.
There is also the opportunity for Ballard to create more salary cap room through contract restructures, extensions, and veteran cuts.
One player to watch when it comes to that last category is wide receiver Michael Pittman, who is aware that Sunday’s game in Houston could have been his final with the team.
