The new head coach of the Baltimore Ravens could have Denver Broncos ties.

After Baltimore stunned the football world and parted ways with John Harbaugh earlier this week, the Ravens are already plotting their next move.

And a couple of early interviews are with two coveted Broncos assistants in Vance Joseph and Davis Webb.

Initial interviews for Baltimore: Ravens are interviewing Broncos DC Vance Jospeh this morning and Broncos QB coach Davis Webb this afternoon for their head coach vacancy.

For Joseph, the Ravens are added to the list of teams pursuing Denver’s defensive coordinator. He’s now up to six interviews to be a head coach with Baltimore joining Tennessee, Arizona, Atlanta, Las Vegas and the New York Giants.

And with Webb, this is the second known interview for the Broncos QB coach, as he’ll also chat with the Raiders.

With Harbaugh out after nearly two decades in Baltimore, this is clearly the best open job. Miami fired Mike McDaniel on Thursday morning as well, but the Ravens have to be at the top.

They were Super Bowl favorites entering the season before shockingly missing the playoffs. Lamar Jackson battled injuries but is still viewed as an elite quarterback. They also have Derrick Henry at running back, several solid skill-position players and a defense that needs to return to form.

Joseph could do that as the Broncos had a top defense in the NFL this year and many feel he deserves a second shot at being a head coach.

Webb is viewed as a “rising star,” but could skip steps, going directly from a QB coach to a head coach. If not, he’ll get plenty of looks to be an offensive coordinator whether in Denver or elsewhere.

Even with the Broncos firmly focused on the playoffs after earning the No. 1 seed, the NFL coaching carousel never sleeps. We’ll see if Joseph or Webb is ultimately the new man in charge in Baltimore.
