Webb is a fast-rising coach.

Webb has been coaching for three years and is already getting NFL head coach interviews. That’s a meteoric rise in the profession.

At 30 years old, Webb would tie Sean McVay as the youngest person to be hired as a head coach in the NFL’s modern era.

McVay was an offensive coordinator for three years before the Los Angeles Rams hired him as their head coach in 2017. Three years later, McVay became the youngest head coach to reach the Super Bowl. Three years after that, he became the youngest head coach to win the Super Bowl. The Rams’ “gamble” paid off.

Webb’s first coaching job was as the Denver Broncos’ quarterbacks coach in 2023. After two years in that role, Sean Payton promoted him to pass game coordinator.

Webb has helped young Bo Nix become one of the NFL’s best young quarterbacks. In his second season, Nix has thrown for the eighth-most passing yards in the league (3,931), and Denver is the AFC’s No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs.

Nix said Webb is “underrated.”

“He’s always prepared me extremely well, especially from the get-go,” Nix said. “He played the position and knows what it’s like to walk into a game. He prepares me on a very good level and we’re always ready for the task at hand.”
