ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — The Atlanta Falcons have begun interviews for their president of football operations.
The Falcons interviewed Detroit Lions Chief Operating Officer Mike Disner, the team announced Thursday evening.
Disner has spent the past seven seasons (2019-25) with Detroit, originally serving as vice president of football administration before becoming COO in 2022.
Before his stint in Detroit, Disner spent six seasons with the Arizona Cardinals as director of football administration, following four years at the NFL Management Council, where he served one year as labor operations manager (2012) and three years as labor operations coordinator (2009-11).

According to reports, the team is also planning to interview former Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, a favorite for the job.
Atlanta is prioritizing filling this position before it begins its head coach search. The Falcons have scheduled interviews with several head coaching candidates.
