The Kansas City Chiefs‘ legends continue to receive their praise well after their playing days have ended. The latest retired Chiefs star to be honored is long-time punter Dustin Colquitt, who was recently named to the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame class of 2026.
Colquitt, who will be enshrined on February 1st in Springfield, played the most games in franchise history and was a two-time Pro Bowler for Kansas City. He was a member of the Kansas City Super Bowl LIV championship team and recently officially retired with the franchise.
The former Tennessee Volunteer was selected by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft after his illustrious collegiate career. He spent 14 seasons in Kansas City before joining various teams in the final stretch of his career.
For 15 seasons, Colquitt experienced the franchise’s highs and lows. In 238 regular-season games with the Chiefs, Colquitt tallied 1,167 punts and an impressive 477 inside the 20.
