Jordan Poyer may be in line to start his first game in a Bills uniform since 2023 on Sunday.

The Buffalo Bills took a very narrow 10-7 lead into halftime of their Wild Card Playoff matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

But they could be tasked with protecting this second-half lead without the help of their veteran former All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer.

Poyer is questionable to return with a hamstring injury.

The Bills’ safety missed the final three weeks of the regular season with this nagging injury, but was a full participant at practice heading into the playoffs.

Jordan Hancock Will Replace Jordan Poyer

Cornerback Jordan Hancock started his Bills career playing on the boundaries. But due to the multiple injuries in their secondary, several corners have been asked to transition into middle of the field players.

Hancock played 41 snaps at safety during the Bills’ Week 18 blowout of the New York Jets.

Safety Darnell Savage will also likely be asked to fill in at the role.

Savage was on the Jaguars when the season began. Jacksonville was the first team to cut him this year. He was then claimed by the Washington Commanders before being released ten weeks later and eventually landing with Buffalo.

He played every single defensive snap last week.
