Add two more interview requests to the list for Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, both the Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins requested a head coaching interview with Hafley, who can now interview at any time after the Packers were eliminated from the playoffs by the Chicago Bears on Saturday night.
The Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons have also requested an interview with Hafley, who just finished his second season as Matt LaFleur’s defensive coordinator and is one of top head coach candidates of this year’s cycle.
The Packers finished 12th in yards allowed and 11th in points allowed in 2025, but the defense faded down the stretch without Micah Parsons, and Hafley’s group gave up 25 fourth quarter points in Saturday’s collapse in Chicago. It appears the finish to the 2025 season is not deterring teams from seeing Hafley as a top head coach candidate.
As a first-time NFL defensive coordinator in 2024, Hafley led the Packers to a fifth-place finish in yards and sixth place in points.
Hafley previously spent time as an NFL positional coach before serving one year as a co-defensive coordinator at Ohio State and four years as the head coach of Boston College.

The Packers have an important few days ahead. Not only does Ed Policy have to make a decision on the future of coach Matt LaFleur, but the Packers might also need to hire a new defensive coordinator if Hafley exits for a head coach job. It’s also possible Hafley will be a candidate to take over for LaFleur if the two sides move on.
