The final matchup of Wild Card Weekend on Monday features an AFC battle between the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers. This could end up being more a defensive battle, but points are going to be scored regardless. Here are my top anytime TD Texans-Steelers scorer bets for Wild Card Weekend on DraftKings Sportsbook!
The Steelers have scored at least 26 points in four of their last five games, which is the reason they’re in the playoffs. I would be stunned if that streak continues against arguably the best defense in football. Houston is surrendering just 17.4 points per contest. DeMeco Ryans sends endless pressure and has an elite secondary to back him up in case Will Anderson and company don’t get home.
So, unsurprisingly, I’m turning to Houston’s offense for an anytime TD scorer. C.J. Stroud hasn’t exactly been great this year, but he’s gotten the job done when it matters. Pittsburgh’s defense isn’t playing inspired football at the moment either, giving me confidence in Nico Collins’ prospects to find the end zone.
Collins only has six touchdowns on the year, but he consistently sees a high red zone target share. Pittsburgh was just torched by an opposing No. 1 receiver in Zay Flowers, who caught four balls for 138 yards and two touchdowns in Week 18. Collins is a starkly different type of receiver than Flowers, but Stroud should be looking to him early, often and in big moments.
