The Chicago Bears orchestrated another improbable comeback with a 31-27 win over the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night. It marked their first postseason win since 2011. They now advance to the divisional playoffs, where things get even tougher when they host the Los Angeles Rams.
The NFL has released the schedule for the divisional playoffs, and the Bears will host the Rams on Sunday, Jan. 18. The time and TV station will be announced at the conclusion of Monday night’s wild-card game between the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers. But Chicago will play either at 2 p.m. CT or 5:30 p.m. CT.
A date with MVP frontrunner Matthew Stafford and the Rams is on the docket for the Bears after the 49ers defeated the Eagles. After seeing what Brock Purdy and the 49ers offense did to Chicago’s defense back in Week 17, it’s certainly a concern. But the good news is that Los Angeles has to come to what’s sure to be a frigid Soldier Field and deal with a Bears fanbase that made a huge difference in their win over the Packers.
