Where there’s smoke, there could be fire. That’s the theme that continues to be pushed by NFL insiders and media outlets in the Tennessee Titans‘ head coaching search.
For the third time in less than 24 hours, an NFL Insider made it clear that former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is solidly in play for Mike Borgonzi and the Titans.

This time, it was Tom Pelissero during a Wild Card pre-game show who stated, “Don’t count out the Titans. They have a lot of resources and a dynamic young quarterback in Cam Ward to sell to potential candidates.”
This comes on the heels of two insiders, Diana Russini and Albert Breer, positively mentioning the Titans and Harbaugh’s potential interest. The good news is that Titans fans should know soon whether Harbaugh is interested in joining the team in Nashville.
In an Insider report, Jay Glazer, who spoke with Harbaugh on Sunday, stated the veteran coach will narrow his interest to three or four teams and schedule interviews early in the week.
Waiting to hear from Harbaugh will not slow the Titans’ search for their next head coach, with Tennessee having multiple interviews scheduled throughout the week. If anything, it will add some clarity to the situation.
