The 2025-2026 Philadelphia Eagles season has abruptly ended with a brutal 23-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in a disappointing NFL — NFC Wild Card playoff game.

Philadelphia Eagles Were A 5 1/2 Point Favorite Versus San Francisco

It was a game that the Eagles should have won. The offense once again disappeared in the second half, which has been a familiar story this season.

Will likely be fired. Some will look at this as “scapegoating,” however, it has been a very inconsistent season for the Eagles from an offensive standpoint.

You can’t fire the offense … but, you can fire the offensive coordinator and they likely will do so.

Was Yesterday A.J. Brown’s Last Game As A Philadelphia Eagle?

Many think so, however, Head Coach Nick Sirianni profusely defended Brown right after the game … both the key drops during the game and the sideline confrontation he had with Brown.

A.J. Brown just went around to a bunch of teammates in the locker room, hugged them, and bounced. A.J. Brown has left the building, maybe for the last time in green.

Philadelphia Eagles Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio Had A Great Season.

However, (yesterday) after two Philadelphia field goals gave the Eagles the lead each time … the San Francisco 49ers immediately followed each with a touch down.

The Eagles defense and Coordinator Vic Fangio had a great overall season  … with the defense responsible for winning many games during the regular season.

Fans Wanted More Philadelphia Eagles Playoff Season Football

They’ll have to wait until next season. It was an abrupt and disappointing end to the Eagles season.
