The Miami Hurricanes are just days away from playing No. 1 Indiana for the College Football Playoff national championship, and the team is using its week off to make some serious transfer portal moves.
Miami hosted five-star quarterback Sam Leavitt on Saturday, and the team is in good position to land the Arizona State transfer. On3’s Pete Nakos logged an expert prediction for the Hurricanes to sign the top-ranked passer in the portal.
If the team misses out on Leavitt for some reason, there are dozens of other options in the portal to replace Carson Beck in 2026. Whoever is under center next season will have a strong stable of weapons to throw to with the talent Miami has coming back plus the two big portal additions it made over the weekend.

The Hurricanes picked up a commitment from South Carolina Gamecocks wideout Vandrevius Jacobs on Friday, and followed that by landing a commitment from 1,000-yard West Virginia transfer WR Cam Vaughn, according to On3.
Jacobs, a former four-star receiver and top-300 recruit from the class of 2023, had a solid season at South Carolina in 202. He logged 32 catches, 548 yards, and four touchdowns.
After a 48-catch, 803-yard, five-touchdown season at Jacksonville State in 2023, Vaughn transferred to West Virginia this season. In two college seasons, he’s totaled 83 catches, 1,344 yards and nine touchdowns.

Miami has some high upside talent on the depth chart in Joshua Moore, JoJo Trader, and Daylyn Upshaw.
But both CJ Daniels and Keelon Marion are out of eligibility after this season, and Jacobs and Vaughn are solid veterans who can replace their productions behind breakout freshman Malachi Toney, who compiled 99 receptions, 1,089, and nine touchdowns this year.
