NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The New Orleans Saints had 10 players on Thursday’s injury report ahead of Sunday’s game in Atlanta.
Chris Olave is listed as out for Sunday’s game after being hospitalized with a blood clot in his lung. He will be okay and back in time for off-season workouts in the spring.
Even without Olave, the next man up approach does not change for the Saints. It’s a big reason why they’ve won four in a row.
For head coach Kellen Moore, getting a fifth by beating the team’s biggest rival means it’s all the motivation he needs for his team.
“Obviously, it’s really important. It’s our last opportunity to finish. Division game. Atlanta, there’s a lot of variables here. And so we’re excited to finish this thing off the right way,” Moore said. “They’re playing really, really good football. They’re as talented as anyone we’ve played all year. When you look at them, they got talent all over this roster.”
Moore said Atlanta is playing well in all three phases after winning a Monday night game against one of the best teams in the league.
“So it’ll be a fun challenge,” Moore said.
