Five NFL games we can’t wait to watch in the 2025 season

The NFL schedule for the 2025-2026 season has been released. Here are a few games on our must-watch list.

The Arizona Cardinals have two prime-time games on the 2025 NFL schedule, but according to one site, they deserve more.

Pro Football Network looked at five teams that deserved more prime-time games on the NFL schedule in the upcoming season and included the Arizona Cardinals in what some might see as a surprise inclusion.

The site explained why it thought the Cardinals deserved more prime-time coverage in 2025:

Brandon Austin wrote: “This one might raise some eyebrows. The Arizona Cardinals aren’t the first team that comes to mind for prime time, but there’s plenty of upside heading into 2025. Arizona went 8-9 last season, a big jump from their 4-13 mark in 2023. They finished fifth in Offense+ and were among the league’s best in yards per carry (5.3), goal-to-go efficiency (86.2%), and third-down conversion rate (43%). Rookie wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. had a solid debut, and if he levels up in Year 2, look out. Kyler Murray wasn’t always in sync with him last season, but the potential is sky high. The defense was a problem (27th in Defense+), but the Cardinals made big additions: Josh Sweat, rookie corner Will Johnson, and defensive tackle Walter Nolen. If that side improves, Arizona could push for a playoff spot. Two prime-time games might not be enough for a team on the rise.”

Arizona is currently scheduled to host the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football in NFL Week 4 and it also has a Monday Night Football game scheduled against the Dallas Cowboys on the road in NFL Week 9.

Interestingly, every other team on Pro Football Network’s list of those that deserved more prime-time games already has at least four scheduled in 2025.

The site listed the Buffalo Bills (five prime-time games), Baltimore Ravens (four), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (four) and Cincinnati Bengals (four) as the other teams that deserved an increase in prime-time games.

Arizona plays at the Buccaneers in NFL Week 13 (11 a.m. MST on Nov. 30) and hosts the Bengals in NFL Week 17 (either Dec. 27 or Dec. 28 at a time to be determined).
