NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – The new home of the Tennessee Titans is “making major strides” as construction continues into 2026.
Construction on the new Nissan Stadium is transitioning its focus from building the outer structure to focusing on enveloping the enclosure, which is creating physical barriers separating the interior of the building from the external environment.
“December was a busy month for our construction crew as we officially wrapped up a great year of progress,” the Titans said.

Things are also moving fast for the stadium’s roof.
“The TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin, for those wondering) roof membrane is wrapping its way around the stadium and we’re almost halfway done with the massive 360,000 sq. ft. of total roofing surface,” the team announced.
“A huge batch of wire cables just got delivered, and the crew is working hard to lay them out and prep them to be hoisted up and attached to the top ring beam. These cables aren’t small either—we’re talking lengths up to 600 feet. To make that work, the team’s been laying down tons of plywood protection on the concrete seating to keep everything in top shape.”
The construction team has also conducted a fit test of the first lettering on top of the stadium. Each of the four stadium facades will feature “Nissan Stadium,” and the team tried out the first 15-foot-tall “T” on the west facade facing the current stadium and downtown.
“Everything looked great, including the visual of the letter lit up at night. The rest of the letters are being manufactured in Wisconsin and should all be installed by this spring,” the team said.
