Looking ahead to the 2026 NFL offseason, what are the five biggest needs for the Jacksonville Jaguars?

NFL.com recently put together its list of positional needs for each NFL team. Let’s take a look at which units were selected for the Jagaurs.

You can also take a look at how much salary cap space the Jaguars have heading into free agency and when they will be picking in the 2026 NFL draft.

Cornerback

Montaric Brown is set to be a free agent, as is Greg Newsome. However, if the Jaguars can get Brown back, the cornerback position would seemingly be in good shape with Brown joining Travis Hunter, Jourdan Lewis, and Jarrian Jones.

With Devin Lloyd hitting free agency and earning himself a good-sized payday, if he ends up playing elsewhere, the Jaguars will have a starting role to fill next to Foye Oluokun.

GM James Gladstone drafted Jack Kiser and Jalen McLeod in 2025, but it still remains to be seen what either could provide in a full-time defensive role. Dennis Gardeck is a free agent as well.

Offensive line

The depth of this unit was tested throughout the season and more often than not, the Jaguars’ offensive line was able to hold up.

Down the stretch, improved run-blocking was needed, but Jacksonville is returning all of its key contributors up front. I don’t know how many premium resources will be allocated to this position.

Safety

Andrew Wingard will be a free agent, but I’m going to guess that the Jaguars feel good about going into next season with Eric Murray and Antonio Johnson as their starters. The team also drafted Caleb Ransaw and Rayuan Lane last April. Depth is needed, but again, I’m not sure how pressing of a need this is.

Wide receiver

Sticking with the theme — is this a big need? Returning are Parker Washington, Jakobi Meyers, Brian Thomas Jr., and Travis Hunter will be back.
