The Indianapolis Colts had a breakout star on offense during the 2025 NFL season despite the team’s turmoil at quarterback when Daniel Jones went down with his season-ending injury.
Wideout Alec Pierce stepped up in the receiving game with his first-ever 1,000-yard season, and now the young Colts standout is reaping the benefits of his performances.

Last season, Pierce finished the regular season with 824 yards, and that’s when teammate DeForest Buckner challenged him to get to the 1k mark in 2025. The Colts star promised Alec Pierce with “an AP for AP” referring to an Audemars Piguet watch.

After notching 824 yards last year, Pierce had 1,003 yards the year.

It just so happened that this year Alec Pierce managed to topple that 1,000-yard total on the final game of the regular season after an impressive showing against the Houston Texans. Pierce finished that outing with 132 yards and two touchdowns on only four catches.
Meanwhile, the fourth-year wide receiver had a career year for Indy despite the franchise finishing just shy of making the playoffs. The extravagant gift sat in his locker after Buckner fulfilled his promise from a season ago.
The All-Pro defensive star took to Instagram to say to Pierce, “An AP for AP. Congrats on the 1K again brotha! Man of my word.”
2025 marks the final year of Pierce’s rookie deal with Indy, but it’s clear he will make the Colts or another NFL team very happy next season based on his outstanding production.
