Prime Video set a NFL streaming record on Jan. 10 when 31.6 million average viewers watched the Chicago Bears 31-27 Wild Card Playoff Game win over the Green Bay Packers.
The tally topped the previous record set 16 days earlier on Christmas day when 27.5 million viewers live-streamed the Minnesota Vikings upset win over for the Detroit Lions on Netflix.
Both games were only available on the streaming platforms.
This year’s Wild Card playoff game topped Prime Video’s previous 2025 Wild Card playoff game between the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens drew 22.07 million average viewers.
Prime Video just concluded a record year for NFL “Thursday Night Football,” which averaged 15.3 million viewers over the 15-game season. That is up 16% from 12.8 million average viewers in 2024.
“Thursday Night Football” in 2025 regularly ranked in the weekly Top 10 among 250 weekly TV broadcasts, according to Nielsen.
