The Arizona Cardinals have signed former New York Giants wide receiver and return specialist Ihmir Smith-Marsette to a reserve/future contract.
His agent, Sean Stellato, who also represents former Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito, shared the news via ESPN insider Adam Schefter.
The 26-year-old Smith-Marsette entered the 2025 season looking to play more wide receiver, but the Giants kept him on the practice squad throughout, opting to use Gunner Olszewski and Deonte Banks instead.
A fifth-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings in the 2021 NFL draft, Smith-Marsette has also made stops with the Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs, and Carolina Panthers.
In 48 career games (one start), Smith-Marsette has caught 14 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns, rushing for an additional 73 yards on nine carries. He’s also returned 66 punts for 550 yards and one touchdown, and 16 kickoffs for 481 yards and one touchdown.
