The Dallas Cowboys are reaching out to some NFC East rivals as they look to fill their defensive coordinator role.
The Cowboys have requested to interview Christian Parker, the Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive backs coach/passing game coordinator, a person familiar with the process told The Dallas Morning News. Dallas also reached out to the New York Giants to interview Charlie Bullen, NFL Network reported Wednesday.
Parker has been on Philadelphia’s staff for two seasons, handling a pivotal role alongside defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Meanwhile, Bullen served as the Giants’ interim defensive coordinator for much of the 2025 season.
Before landing in Philadelphia, Parker was a defensive backs coach for the Denver Broncos from 2021-23. Parker has worked with several Pro Bowlers throughout his coaching career, including Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, Darius Slay, Justin Simmons and Pat Surtain II.

Bullen stepped in as the Giants’ defensive coordinator after Shane Bowen was fired in November. Bullen initially joined the Giants’ staff as an outside linebackers coach in 2024.
Bullen has experience working at the collegiate and NFL levels. He previously held several roles with the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals from 2012-22. He returned to the NFL after spending the 2023 season at the University of Illinois as the school’s outside linebackers coach/pass rush coordinator.
The Cowboys have been busy working to fill their defensive coordinator gig, holding interviews with names like Jim Leonhard, Ephraim Banda and Daronte Jones.
