The Carolina Panthers have parted ways with a defender.
As announced on Wednesday, the team waived safety D’Anthony Bell. The 29-year-old defensive back was a member of Carolina’s active roster for their final two games of the 2025 campaign.
After splitting his collegiate career between Albany State, Iowa Central Community College, Butler Community College and the University of West Florida, Bell entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns in 2022. He’d spend three seasons in Cleveland—where he totaled 61 combined tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble over 50 games.
Bell then moved on to the Seattle Seahawks, and made two starts for the eventual NFC West champions in 2025. He was later waived, then claimed by the Panthers following their Week 17 loss to the Seahawks at Bank of America Stadium.
The fourth-year veteran recorded 13 snaps on special teams in Carolina’s wild-card round defeat to the Los Angeles Rams this past Saturday.
