A new report has emerged suggesting that the Giants may be the only team John Harbaugh visits during his search for a new head coach gig

The New York Giants are looking for a new head coach, and it appears as if they have already identified their top target. Reports have emerged indicating that the Giants are all in on recently fired Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, and on Wednesday, the team brought him to town to visit their facility and further discuss the position.

The hope among New York and its fans is that it would not allow Harbaugh to leave the building without a deal in place, but he also has meetings lined up with the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons to discuss their head coach vacancies. However, a surprising wrinkle has emerged that could spell good news for the Giants in their quest to hire Harbaugh.

John Harbaugh’s Giants Visit Receives Big Update

My understanding as of this afternoon was that the Giants facility might be the only facility that John Harbaugh visits. That certainly isn’t a bad sign for Giants fans. …Titans scheduled to go to his Baltimore area home tomorrow, as @DMRussini said.

Midway through the 2025 campaign, the Giants decided to move on from head coach Brian Daboll, setting the stage for a very important offseason. With Joe Schoen remaining in charge of the front office as the team’s general manager, that gave him a head start when it came to identifying potential candidates for the team’s head coach opening.

Everything changed when Harbaugh was surprisingly fired by the Ravens shortly after their season-ending loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18. New York quickly showed interest in hiring Harbaugh, and the interest is mutual, as the veteran coach is only meeting with teams that he is open to working for.

On Wednesday, Harbaugh took the first big step in his search for a new job, as he arrived at the Giants’ facility for a visit with the team. While he did end up departing, New York appears to have made a strong impression on Harbaugh, as it does not seem like he will be visiting either the Titans’ or Falcons’ facilities as part of his process.

“My understanding as of this afternoon was that the Giants facility might be the only facility that John Harbaugh visits,” Ian O’Connor of The Athletic reported in a post on X. “That certainly isn’t a bad sign for Giants fans. …Titans scheduled to go to his Baltimore area home tomorrow, as Dianna Russini said.”

Giants May Have Inside Track in the Race for John HarbaughJohn Harbaugh, New York Giants

In a perfect world, the Giants would have hired Harbaugh on Wednesday, but the longtime head coach does not appear to be in a rush to make a decision on his future. Harbaugh is going to be a head coach in the NFL next season, but he’s going to make sure that the team he latches on with is a spot he can stay for several years.

New York’s pursuit of Harbaugh has gotten off to a strong start, and fans will surely be hoping that neither Tennessee nor Atlanta will be able to convince him to land with them. The Giants appear to be in a good spot with Harbaugh, but there’s still a lot of work that needs to be done if the team wants him to be on their sideline next season.
