CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillian is a finalist for the Pepsi Rookie of the Year.
After McMillian’s dynamic rookie season, the league announced Tuesday, Jan. 13, that he was a finalist for the award.
McMillian finished his rookie campaign 14th overall in the league with 1,014 yards, seven touchdowns, and 70 receptions, leading all rookie pass-catchers in each category.
“I think we definitely envisioned what we got, otherwise, I don’t think we would have drafted him at No. 8,” bragged general manager Dan Morgan on Tuesday of the Top 10 pick.
The 22-year-old receiver notably won Rookie of the Week in Week 6 after scoring his first two touchdowns of his career in the Panthers win over the Cowboys.
