BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Former Boise State head coach Chris Petersen was named to the College Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026.
Petersen becomes just the second Bronco enshrined in the hall, joining former player Randy Trautman, who was inducted in the Class of 1999.
Petersen spent eight seasons with Boise State, posting a 92-12 record with two Fiesta Bowl wins and led the program into the national spotlight.
Following his time at Boise State, Petersen went to the University of Washington and led the Huskies to two Pac-12 titles, three New Year’s Six bowl games and a College Football Playoff appearance in six seasons.
Petersen will officially be inducted in the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026 during the 68th annual awards dinner set for December 8 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
