Heading into the 2026 NFL offseason, what are the top two priorities for the Jacksonville Jaguars?
ESPN recently answered that question for each team that has been eliminated from the playoffs.
At the top of the list for the Jaguars is figuring out how they’ll use Travis Hunter in 2026.

GM James Gladstone seemed to already provide that answer on Wednesday, however, stating that Hunter will continue to play both ways. With that said, given the current state of the cornerback and wide receiver depth charts, there could be more opportunities this season on the defensive side of the ball.
So what is Jacksonville’s second offseason priority?
Michael DiRocco selected adding to the defensive line.
“The Jaguars could benefit from another edge rusher to complement Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker,” DiRocco wrote. “It wouldn’t hurt to address defensive tackle, either, to improve the rotation.”

The Jaguars had the best run defense in football, and as the year went on, the pass rush found more consistency. Gladstone pointed out that there was an “uptick” in that regard by season’s end.
However, to DiRocco’s point, bolstering the defensive end rotation behind Hines-Allen and Walker should be on the to-do list. The defensive tackle position, in terms of getting after the quarterback, also went relatively quiet down the stretch.
