During Tuesday afternoon’s press conference with Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti and General Manager Eric DeCosta, a question was asked about the team’s biggest roster failures and disappointments.
DeCosta was a little more even-keeled in his answer to the roster failures and disappointments during the 2025 season, saying, “I know the offensive line seemed to be a narrative this year. In some games, I thought the [offensive] line played well, [and] in other games we struggled. I think we have pieces. I think we’ve got to be more consistent on the offensive line. We didn’t gel quite as much this year in that way, and yet I say that, and I think we led the league in rushing, maybe, and that was with less quarterback-driven runs”.

Bisciotti’s answer was more direct and to the point, saying that the offensive line didn’t improve as it did in 2024 after replacing three players. We all could see it game after game. It got to the point where even Shannon Sharpe called out Daniel Faalele on his podcast “The Nightcap“. You know it’s bad when you get talked about and criticized by former players on a podcast.
This offseason will be critical for the new head coach to assemble a coaching staff that excels in coaching, and it’s equally crucial for DeCosta’s group to scout players who will maximize their potential in Baltimore. They need to add players who will improve year after year, and that’s not what we are seeing so far.
