Chicago Bears mania is on fire right now in Illinois, and the team has been out in the city doing fun things all week to keep fans hyped as we head into Sunday’s NFC divisional round game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Must Love the Chicago Bears

I have lived in Illinois my whole life and grew up surrounded by family members who love the Chicago Bears, but the truth is, I do not follow football.

I don’t know stats or every player’s name. I couldn’t explain a defensive scheme if my life depended on it, and on Sundays during football season I’m usually finding anything to do besides watching a game.

All that being said, even I know the Chicago Bears are having a MOMENT right now, and I am absolutely here for it.

Seeing stuff like this on social media also helps:

Since Saturday’s amazing win against the Green Bay Packers, the Bears’ hype team, The Monster Squad, has been all over the city celebrating and keeping fans pumped for the next round…

But today’s antics might be my favorite thing yet. Say hello to “Iceman” Caleb Williams:

ABC7 Chicago said crews came out early Thursday morning (1/15) to build the “Iceman” sculpture, and that another ice sculpture is in the works to be displayed at Soldier Field on Sunday.

I may not know what a chop block is, but I do know this; when the Bears are winning, Illinois feels different. People smile more, they’re excited, they have something positive to look forward to. I hope this electric vibe continues all the way to the Super Bowl!
