We are nearly a week removed from the Philadelphia Eagles‘ loss in the NFC’s Wild Card Round. The topics of conversation seem to be the same as they always are when the offseason begins. What does Nick Sirianni do again? Is Jalen Hurts really the guy? Is A.J. Brown leaving? Is it time to hire another offensive coordinator?

The latter topic is debated every 30 minutes. Recently, two names seemed to emerge as ‘favorites’. Brian Daboll was the owner of one, and Mike McDaniel was named as the other.

However, a new report may throw a wrench in that plan. Daboll, formerly the New York Giants head coach, seems to have loftier goals. Might he be taking his talents to the AFC?

Like New York, Tennessee moved on from its head coach, Brian Callahan, during the regular season. They have a young and talented quarterback in Cam Ward. While it isn’t the most attractive head-coaching opening, it is one. There are only 32 in the world, and no one should rule out the possibility that Daboll would want to lead a franchise again.

Currently, nine teams are in the market for an HC, more than one-fourth of the league’s franchises. Tennessee is a small market, but it can also be a rewarding job for the man who can turn things around.
