Arizona State fans are happy about Kenny Dillingham, but they are also proud of an alumnus in the National Football League.
Mike Bercovici, a former quarterback of the Sun Devils, received a huge promotion from the Carolina Panthers. Jordan Schultz, an NFL insider, reported on Thursday that the Panthers have elevated Bercovici to passing game coordinator.

The 32-year-old recently interviewed for the Washington Commanders’ quarterbacks coach job; however, he will remain in Carolina.
Bercovici was a vital part of the Panthers winning the NFC South title, despite an 8-9 record.
Carolina faced the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Wild Card Round, suffering a 31-34 loss in a valiant effort.
Bryce Young, the No. 1 overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, totaled two touchdowns (one rushing) and 264 passing yards in the loss. He has turned a corner in his third season in the pros with Bercovici as Young recorded his first 3,000-yard (3,011) passing campaign with 23 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. He also posted his best passer rating of his career at 87.8.

Bercovici is viewed around the league as an offensive coordinator on the rise. He was a graduate assistant at Arizona State University in 2019 after his time in the NFL ended.
Bercovici was a coaching assistant for the Arizona Cardinals from 2019 to 2022 before moving to Carolina. He attended ASU from 2011 to 2015, totaling 5,339 passing yards and 42 touchdowns to 13 interceptions. His best season came in 2015 with a career-high 3,861 passing yards and 36 touchdowns (six rushing scores).
Bercovici looks to take Young and the Panthers to new heights next fall.
