After a heavy-hearted departure from the Pittsburgh Steelers organization, Mike Tomlin shared a ‘dad moment’ with his daughter, Harley Tomlin.

A few days after sharing that he is stepping down as the Steelers’ head coach, Tomlin was present to support his daughter in her gymnastic competition on Jan. 16. During her performance, SEC Network cameras showed Mike Tomlin in the stands with his wife, Kiya Tomlin.

The spotlight in Athens went beyond the mat as the No. 8 Georgia Bulldogs welcomed the No. 2 LSU Tigers. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was in the stands, visibly invested in every moment while cheering on his daughter, Harley, throughout the meet. She recorded a 9.825 on the floor exercise with an Arabian double.

Per the statistics, Georgia finished with a total score of 197.200. LSU recorded 196.850. The official Georgia Gymnastics account confirmed the result and announced the team’s next meet against Oklahoma on Jan. 23.

Harley is a sophomore gymnast for Georgia, delivered one of the best floor routines of the night as the Bulldogs edged LSU in a top-10 matchup. Harley is Tomlin’s favorite child in the family, and the former NFL coach once described her as “the best athlete in the house. No doubt.”

After stepping down as a head coach, for now, Tomlin appears focused on spending time with his family. After Harley Tomlin’s performance in Athens, that focus seems well placed.

Mike Tomlin guided the Pittsburgh Steelers to the playoffs this season, but their run ended with a 30–6 loss to the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card round. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Tomlin is expected to step away in 2026 and is not expected to coach another NFL team next season.
