Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero has seemingly made an impression.

According to ESPN senior NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler, Evero will have a second interview with the Las Vegas Raiders for their head-coaching position. Per Fowler, the meeting—now a follow-up to their initial virtual chat—is expected to take place next week in South Florida.

Last Sunday, Panthers head coach Dave Canales revealed that the team extended Evero before the end of the 2025 campaign.

“I have complete trust in Ejiro,” Canales told reporters during his end-of-season press conference. “Love the way that he’s brought this group to play quality football together. He’s got my full support. And love our scheme, love what we do there.

“Getting our guys to play together when we execute this scheme, it’s really difficult to play against. And the guys have found a way to play together, communicate together.”

Evero also has interest from the Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers.
