Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley will get a second head coaching interview with the Miami Dolphins, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The team is setting up in-person interviews for next week, extending Hafley’s extensive touring schedule into a second week.

The second interview suggests Hafley — who has or will interview with six teams so far — is a top candidate for the job in Miami.

The Dolphins recently hired former Packers personnel executive Jon-Eric Sullivan as general manager, creating an obvious connection to Hafley, who has been Green Bay’s defensive coordinator for the last two seasons. Sullivan spent over two decades in the Packers front office and is well versed in the Ron Wolf method of identifying talent and building a roster.

In addition to the Dolphins, Hafley has interviewed or will interview with the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers. Coach Matt LaFleur said he believes Hafley will get one of the jobs during this head coaching hiring cycle.

The Dolphins fired coach Mike McDaniel after finishing 7-10 and missing the postseason in 2025. Miami finished 25th in scoring offense and 24th in scoring defense.

Teaming Sullivan with Hafley could provide the massive culture shift needed for a franchise that hasn’t won a playoff game since the 2000 season.
