Before the Divisional Round of the 2026 NFL playoffs kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the lines for this weekend’s postseason games.
My overall record is 124-123-1 after going 3-3 last week. The BGN Community is behind at 121-126-1 after going 4-2 in the Wild Card round.
Here are suggestions when trying to beat the odds.
NFL DIVISIONAL ROUND GAMES
BUFFALO BILLS at DENVER BRONCOS (-1.5): The Broncos have been a one-score game merchant all season long. They’re due for some bad luck. Also, the Bills only rank one spot worse in DVOA and actually have a better point differential than Denver. Are you really betting on Bo Nix over Josh Allen? PICK: Bills +1.5
SAN FRANCSICO 49ERS at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (-7): The Seahawks destroyed the 49ers in San Francisco a couple weeks ago. One would think the Seahawks should have this game in the bag given that it’s in Seattle and they’ve had extra rest. I’m not so sure. The unexpected Sam Darnold injury development is a weird looming concern. I have this fear the Niners are having their own 2011 inexplicable New York Giants run. Would love to be wrong about that. PICK: 49ers +7
HOUSTON TEXANS at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (-3): This Texans defense is good enough to keep it a low scoring game and allow Houston to at least cover the spread. Drake Maye’s playoff inexperience could show up to hurt the Pats here. PICK: Texans +3
LOS ANGELES RAMS (-3.5) at CHICAGO BEARS: The Rams are the top team in the NFL. Sean McVay is apparently going to be out to avenge Matt LaFleur after Ben Johnson’s antics last weekend. The Bears don’t stand a chance. PICK: Rams -3.5
