The Titans were one of 10 NFL teams to vote against banning the Tush Push play made popular by the Philadelphia Eagles, ESPN reported on May 21.

22 teams voted for the ban during the NFL spring meeting in Minnesota, two short of the 24 necessary votes needed to institute the proposal.

The Green Bay Packers submitted the proposal to ban the play this winter, but the proposal failed with 10 teams voting against the ban including the Titans, Eagles, Browns, Lions, Jets, Patriots, Ravens, Jaguars, Dolphins and Saints.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie and retired center Jason Kelce lobbied to owners before the vote, according to the ESPN report.

In response to the failed vote, the Eagles celebrated on social media with several posts while adding a 26-minute Tush Push compilation on YouTube.

Also during spring meetings, NFL owners voted to allow players to participate in flag football during the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. The league also changed a restriction on onside kicks for the 2025 season, allowing teams who are trailing to attempt an onside kick at any point in the game. Last year, teams were limited to utilizing the onside kick during the fourth quarter. Teams will still have to declare their intention to try one.
